Hearing loss
In adults the loss is often noise, age, or hereditary. In children it may follow ear infections, or be present from birth. A sudden loss is a different, urgent problem.

- The drop comes with new tinnitus or spinning.

In a January 2026 interview with Al Sharq, Dr. Nafi said early treatment of sudden hearing loss succeeds in about 95 percent of cases, and that the figure falls when care is delayed. One person's result can differ.
